Anne Hitchman (nee Browne) passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2023, at the age of 75.

Anne was born on September 19, 1947, in Hamilton, Ontario. She grew up in Toronto with her family and met her husband of 51 years on a blind date at a Canada Day event on Toronto Island. Together, they were avid travellers and seized every opportunity to experience the world and create countless memories. Anne dedicated her professional life to teaching and spent her career with hundreds of lucky children in grades one through eight.

Anne will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her devoted husband, Bill; and her daughters, Julie (Cole) of Claremont, CA, and Kara (Alastair) of Calgary, AB. Anne will forever be cherished by her grandchildren, Maya, Jaxson, Mark, and Gavin. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Elaine (Ralph), and Pam (Kerry); and brother, Rick (Sue). She was predeceased by her sister, Janet (Gilles).

Celebrations of Life will be held in both Calgary and Toronto. Details of the dates and locations will be forthcoming
