Obituary

Alan and I (his brother) did manage to have fun and a few adventures when we were kids. One of our best memories was those trips up to the cottage. Sliding off the roof into the snow, cross-country skiing, seeing otters sliding down the slopes, warm fires, playing cards, and freezing our asses off in the shed. Of course, there was the long skate over the lakes when the rain coated them like a giant skating rink. Still remember seeing little fish frozen in the ice we were skating over. Penny our dog so tired of jumping from one deep footprint to another we put her on the sled. And the time in winter when we were so bored we broke off some ice and floated down the river, breaking bits off the ice floe as we went until water was sloshing over the side.

The summers even then were hot and sticky, full of mosquitoes, and bigger bugs. Crazy trips into the cottage and horrible unfrozen milk. Having the canoe flipped over was fun, swimming, water skiing, taking the sailboat out, and diving for mussels. And of course, who could forget when we took the bus home from the cottage and spent a glorious week by ourselves?

Having Mike, Nicky, Russ, and Cavin over, you had lots of great nights and fun playing games. And of course, you spent a lot of time watching TV, eating junk food, and reading.  You watched Hogans Heroes, Flintstones, Blue Jays, Gilligan's Island, Married with Children ...still remember that awful Married with Children theme song. Thankfully there was Rush to listen to.

Of course, you watched every game of the Toronto Maple Leafs, scuba-dived all over the world including shipwrecks, and met whale sharks. You also traveled to half the countries in the world collecting memories and treasures. You lived your life your way and had a real adventure. Can't believe you are gone, you will be sorely missed.

Love, Andrew, and family.
